News & Events: Redevelopment of Pindara Private is almost complete

The $60 million Stage 1 Redevelopment of Pindara Private Hospital is almost complete

The project commenced in August 2009 and has progressed without any major delays despite higher than average rainfall.

The redevelopment adds 50 beds, four operating theatres, a dedicated endoscopy unit, a new 13 bed day oncology unit, 2 additional ICU beds, new Specialist Suites and a multi story car-park to Pindara; as well as much needed services including a fabulous new 13 bed children’s ward, for the benefit of the community.

The project is the first stage of a multiphase Master Plan to upgrade Pindara and began with the demolition of the Hospital’s outer buildings.

Hospital staff are currently busy preparing their new areas to receive patients on 8 November 2010.

An opening ceremony will be held on 8 December 2010, when Paul Ramsay, Chairman Ramsay Health Care, will officially open the new buildings.
