Accommodation

Rooms in the Pindara Maternity Unit offer predominantly private room accommodation with ensuite facilities; however an antenatal admission will usually require you to be placed in shared room accommodation.

REGAL SUITES

Depending on availability, Regal Suites are available on request, after your admission to the Maternity Unit.  These packages incur an extra premium (not rebated by your health fund) and are not available for pre-booking.  If you would like the Regal Suite experience, please ask your Midwife or Receptionist about availability when you are admitted.

Extra services included in the Regal Suite Package:

• Free meals for you and your partner
• Mini-bar and fruit bowl stocked once on arrival
• Sofa bed for your partner
• Wireless internet, Foxtel and daily newspaper
• Robes, slippers & personal toiletries packs for you and your partner

Regal Suite Fee:

The Regal Suite Package incurs an additional cost of $450.00. This is an out of pocket expense and will not qualify for a rebate from your Health Fund.

ROOMING IN

Pindara encourages a new mother to keep her baby in her room, as this promotes:

• Bonding between the mother (and father) and baby
• Opportunities to learn practical parenting skills
• Establishment of lactation
• Increased confidence
• Decreased risk of cross infection

Maternity Nurses will support mothers in learning and developing skills for caring for her newborn.

Toddlers / Children

Toddlers and children are welcome to visit but are not permitted to stay overnight.
